Ahead of Ghana’s 69th Independence Day celebration on March 6, 2026, the Old Tafo Municipal Assembly has organized a sanitation exercise within the Asuafam Electoral Area to promote environmental cleanliness in preparation for the national event.The exercise forms part of efforts to ensure communities remain clean and healthy before the Independence Day anniversary. Speaking during the exercise, the Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr. Mohammed Musah, emphasized the importance of sanitation in national development. He noted that both the Bible and the Quran teach that “cleanliness is next to godliness,” and therefore urged residents to take collective responsibility in maintaining a clean environment.
