Hon. Abubakar Sadiq currently serves as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Old Tafo Municipal Assembly where they lead the political and administrative functions of the Municipal Assembly. Appointed by the President and confirmed by the Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Sadiq brings a wealth of experience in public administration, community development, and governance.

With a strong background in public policy, education, engineering, quality human relation, Hon. Abubakar Sadiq has been instrumental in driving key development initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, sanitation, and local economic growth in the municipality. Under his leadership, the Municipal Assembly has witnessed significant progress in service delivery, citizen engagement, and internally generated revenue.

As the head of the Municipal Security Council (MUSEC), Hon. Abubakar Sadiq also plays a vital role in maintaining peace and security, ensuring that the municipality remains a safe and stable environment for residents, businesses, and visitors.

Throughout his tenure, Hon. Abubakar Sadiq has championed transparency, participatory governance, and sustainable development. He maintains strong relationships with traditional authorities, civil society organizations, development partners, and the private sector to foster inclusive and community-led development.
