Old Tafo Municipal Assembly (OTMA) is a beneficiary of the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Programme (GSCSP) and intends to apply its Urban Development Grant (UDG) – 4&5 Investment Grant to construct a multi-purpose recreational urban park and redevelop Moro market into ultra-modern market. In this regard, OTMA held a stakeholder engagement on 28th of September, 2023 to introduce the proposed projects to stakeholders and discuss and exchange ideas on possible measures to ensure a stakeholder buy-in and support of the projects.

In attendance were the Municipal Chief Executive, Presiding Member, Municipal Coordinating Director, Market Leaders, Assembly Members for Moro Market, Tafo Nhyiaeso and Ahenbronum North Electoral Areas, Chairman of Finance and Administration Sub-Committee, Chairman of Trade and Revenue Mobilization Sub-Committee as well as Safeguards Team of Old Tafo Municipal Assembly. The stakeholder engagements took various forms including registration, self-introduction of participants, presentations and open forum for discussions.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Lord Inusah Lansah in his opening remarks, welcomed and thanked the stakeholders for honouring the invitation to the meeting. He reminded stakeholders on their mandate and the need to actively participate in decision making and affairs of the Assembly. He therefore urged the stakeholders to contribute meaningfully to the deliberations and make the stakeholder engagement a success.
