The Agriculture department on August 3rd met with the Poultry farmers in the Old Tafo Municipality to engage them on how to maintain and control poultry farms.
The purpose of the gathering was to discuss Biosecurity Measures for Prevention and control of virus. Cynthia Serwaa Akoto Osei who is an MDO-Veterinary spoke on series of practices that are designed to prevent virus from coming into contact with animals on the site.
This gathering was to educate farmers on dangerous practices at poultry farms which are threat to animals. Sanitization, cleaning and disinfecting were various ways to keep farmland and animals from such nuisance.
