Municipal Assembly of Old Tafo organised a send-off ceremony for the outgoing Municipal Co-ordinating Director of the Municipality. The purpose of the gathering was delivered by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Old Tafo Municipal Assembly. In his presentation, he stated that, today mark the day that the people present at this meeting are going to be part of history of Old Tafo Municipal Assembly sending off ceremony of the first Municipal Co-ordinating Director of Old Tafo Municipal Assembly. The program is a send-off ceremony but with the calibre of the person of Mr. Okoffo-Boadi Boampong, his dedication and experience that he has for the work has warranted us to taping his experience even at his retirement. The whole Assembly is grateful having him as Municipal Co-ordinating Director looking at our Municipal being newly crafted from the KMA, how will this new baby do well without this most experienced person like him handling our Municipality. On behalf of the people of Old Tafo Municipal Assembly, he said Ayekoo to Mr. Okoffo-Boadi Boampong for the tremendous work done in the Municipal and we wish him and his family a peaceful stay at home and we ask for respond anytime there is a knock at his door for advice.
The Municipal Planning Officer also gave the personality profile of Mr. Okoffo Boadi Boampong, which a lot of tributes were said about him of which were never known until that day. His educational backgrounds, work experience and achievements so far. Upon hearing his profile, it gave him a lot of respect from the audience.The man of the ceremony mounted the stage gave a lot of advices to the workers and the people present, his stated that, his mantra as being the captain of the team and not a boss to anyone should keep lingering in their mind. So as he is leaving he urged all to unite and work together for the common goal of the Assembly and not the directors to behave Bossism on their subordinate. He promised that, his doors would be opened for the betterment of the Assembly. When the chance was opened for optional speeches, most people testified to the fact that Mr. Okoffo Boadi is indeed a man of integrity and needs to be applauded for his work done in his life time. All the speakers hailed the main man for his good works and would never forget about his positive attitude towards his works. The people’s good words towards the man reflected when the time for presentation of gifts was due. In fact, they really showed compassion and affection for Mr. Okoffo Boadi Boampong and his family. Citations and sizeable envelop were presented to him to show appreciation of his kind gesture shown to the Assembly as a whole. In attendance were the traditional councils members were the traditional council members, pastors and Imams, past directors, present directors, security persons, and all well wishers graced the occasion to its successful end. The last activity for year under review was the last General Assembly meeting which was slated to take place on 30th December,2020 but unfortunately could not come on due to absent of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) and Municipal Co-ordinating Director (MCD), and was adjourned until further notice by Hon. Presiding Member and seconded by Hon. Albert Twum.
