In the quarter, on the 19th of September, 2022, two (2) Good Samaritan’s, Adubofour Kwadwo, a taxi driver and Akua Mercy, a trader at the old Tafo market, reported of a found but missing child to the Department. According to them, the missing child was about 3years of age, and was found lying on the bare floor at the lorry park. On the ground of the report, an officer from the Department accompanied them to make a formal complaint of occurrence at DOVVSU, at the Tafo Pankrono Divisional Police Service. The Department arranged for public announcements to be made at Oyerepa radio and surrounding information centers at 4 miles lorry station. The Department was able to trace the child’s family through these public announcements and reunification was done on the 29th of September 2022 at the Kumasi Children’s Home.
