Public Relations and Complaint Committee[PRCC] of Old Tafo Municipal Assembly headed by the chairperson of Hon. Richard Appiah (Preceding Member) held a meeting with the Pankrono, Dome and Bediako communities. The purpose of the meeting was to educate the populace of the community about the dos and don’ts of the committee. The chairman of the committee took upon himself to explain the nutty gritty of the committee and what it stands for in the community to the people present.
He said the PRCC stands in as the court of the Assembly where issues are addressed amicably but issues already in the court of jurisdiction are not to be handled at the Public Relation and Complaint [PRCC] because the Constitution of Ghana talked about that to avoid contempt to the court of jurisdiction of the land. So therefore entreated the people to come to the Assembly and report and ask for action against any behaviour sound deviant to the public or any person in the community by any official of the Assembly without any hesitation or what so ever for resolution. The chairman gave the Municipal Planning Officer the chance to give a brief duty of the Assembly concerning the other committees found in the Municipal Assembly of which he stated the executive committee and other committees under the executive committee of which the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) is in charge. The chairman gave a chance for open forum to allow question from the audience. Some of the questions asked were that, what happened to the case between Pankrono Development Union and the Assembly member of the area. Concerning the community centre and the stores, the chairman answered that, the case is still in sitting for conclusion to be drawn so in no distance a future they will hear from the committee and he asked for their patience for a while. The meeting saw in attendance with prominent people in the three communities in the Pankrono gracing the occasion for a successful programme.
