DEPARTMENT IN COLLABORATION WITH INVEST PROJECT ORGANIZED A SENSITIZATION PROGRAM FOR CRAFTSMEN
During the quarter under review, the Department in collaboration with INVEST PROJECT organized a sensitization program for craftsmen in areas such as tailoring, dressmaking, hairdressing and garages on the topic, Treatment of Female Apprentices on the 6th of July, 2022 at the municipal Assembly’s conference hall.
Artisans were educated to give listening ears to female apprentices as they may be exploited or harassed by clients. Participants were equipped on how to draw a line between a man’s duty at home and that of a woman’s at home.
